Detection Principle
Add a known amount of potassium persulfate solution to the water sample and dissolve it under alkaline conditions at high temperature and high pressure. All nitrogen-containing substances in the water sample are converted into nitrate nitrogen. Add dilute hydrochloric acid to deduct the absorption of carbon dioxide. Measure the absorbance of nitrate nitrogen at wavelengths of 220nm and 275nm. According to Lambert Beer's law, there is a linear correlation between the total nitrogen content in water and the absorbance, and then determine the total nitrogen concentration in water.
